SECOND GRADE CLASSROOM ANNOUNCEMENT :

"The Creature"

Scott had seen it for the first time when he was 12. It was a slim shadow, at least 7ft tall and it hadn’t left him since then. Maybe it was a figment of his imagination, but after so many years, he had started to believe he was just crazy. One day, as he was sitting on a bench in a park, that presence was still there and it was staring at him. He was so lost in his thoughts that he hadn’t even realized that a boy had sat next to him. When their eyes met, the boy said: “I see it too”…….(Viola T.)….:” Are you sure?”. “Yes, I am, do you know what is it?”. “ I don’t know, it has been in my head for 4 years and now I don’t think it is art of my imagination anymore.” The shadow was still staring at them. “What should we do?” “ We should run away and tell everything to my parents.” “ Yes. Let’s go!”. As they were going to meet Scott’s parents, the shadow disappeared.
They rushed into Scott's home where there was his mother and
started to tell her everything but it seemed she didn’t notice them.
“Why is she ignoring us?”
Then here it was. The shadow stood right before them and said :” No- one can hear or see you anymore.”...... (Matteo B.)
