SECOND GRADE CLASSROOM ANNOUNCEMENT :

"Strangers to Love"

It was a sunny day. I was on my way home , when I saw a boy. He was playing basketball alone. When he noticed that I was looking at him , he said :”Hi!” I didn’t know who he was, maybe a new neighbor. I couldn’t avoid but blushing as I found him so cool. I gave him a gentle nod and walked away, wondering why I hadn’t said a word. The next day, while I was coming back from school I met him again. He was walking just few steps before me. Suddenly he stopped, turned his head as if he knew I was there and smiled at me. “Hi, I’m Noah. I arrived yesterday……..” ( Ludovica L.)
…I was so embarrassed, but I had so say something.
“Hi, I'm Grace” I said, smiling. He was hadsome. I had never seen a
more attractive guy than him. He wore a white t-shirt, grey pants and black shoes.
“ Do you live here?” he asked. “Yes”, I said. My voice was like a whisper, " I 'm going back home, and you?” “ Me too” “ Can I walk you home?” I couldn't believe my ears, “Of
course”, I said. For all the time we were together, nobody said a word. When we arrived at my home we said goodbye. I have seen him since then. I thought I had lost my chance, but one day, while I was sitting at my desk in my classroom , I saw him coming towards me.............. (Giulia S.)…My heart started beating so fast I thought everyone could hear it. Noah was in my classroom! He stopped right in front of me and smiled again, that same smile that he made when he walked me home last time.

“Hey, Grace,” he said casually, as if we had been friends forever. “I guess I’m your new classmate.”

I tried to act normal, but I was sure I looked ridiculous. “Oh, hi… welcome,” I tried to say.

The teacher walked in, and Noah went to sit at the desk right next to mine. Right NEXT TO ME! I couldn’t stop looking at him. Was this just a pure coincidence or just the beginning of something amazing?(Martina C.) My self- esteem was leaping for joy, when I realized that Camilla was heading towards us. She stopped right before Noah, bent a little a placed a little peck on his cheek. She looked at me as if she had seen me for the first time in her life and she went: "Noah!At Last! I was looking forward to seeing you".....What? She knew Noah!! While talking to Noah she kept looking at me and I could see a smirk on her lips. I started to feel uncomfortable. "Why don't you sit next to me! We have a lot to talk about" she said to Noah. I didn't want Noah to see that my eyes implored him to stay, so I looked somewhere else. It was obvious that he preferred her, she was a hundred times better than me, for sure. "No, thanks. We'll catch up later. I want to know Grace better now". I was speechless. I turned to him and I gave him my best incredulous smile. That was the best day ever.........(Asia M.)
