Bob was 22, single. He lived in San Francisco, California, in a cozy house which had belonged to his parents who had died in a plane crash. He was not a man of great passions but for one thing: he loved making pizzas. He prepared a pizza at least twice a week. It was April 28th and that day he wanted to try a new pizza recipe with vegetables and eggs. As he didn't have all the ingredients, he went to the supermarket nearby and the moment he walked in......(Davide S.) ...he saw her. She was standing by the vegetables studying each one very carefully as if it was the most important decision in the world. She was almost my age, maybe a year or two younger, with orange hair and cute freckles. Bob immediately started to feel attracted to her and his heart started to beat fast. He usually didn't talk to strangers but there was something different in her. He quickly took a basket and tried to walk close to her nonchalantly, pretending to look at the tomatoes. When he grabbed one, she turned to him, smiled and asked: "Are you planning to cook something special?"........(Martina C.)Yes, I told her, I would like to prepare a pizza with vegetables and eggs. Nice, she told me, I
would like to prepare a pizza with pineapple. At that moment I froze, I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Then I asked her how such a horrible thing was possible, and she began to talk about the deliciousness of that pizza. Every attraction towards her vanished into thin air. My uncle was an Italian pizza maker and since I was a child we have prepared pizzas together. We started a discussion about pizza until we heard a loud noise coming from the shop next door. The moment that we left the supermarket, we saw...(Davide S.) some men wearing ski hats on the run. They had broken into the jewellery next to the supermarket and now they were hidinf with a large loot. We had taken just few steps when I saw something among the branches of a bush nearby. I bent to reach for it and I found a pack of banknotes of at least.....15.000 dollars. The burglars had run away in a white van. At first I thought about keeping the money, but I eventually resolved about taking the money back to the jeweler. When I stepped into the jewellery I saw the man on the floor . He didn't move. I screamed: "Call 911! Call 911!" The pineapple girl came to me. She was terrified. I told her everything about what I had seen and the money I had found. After some time the police arrived. They asked me a lot of questions as I was a witness, but I didn't tell them anything about the money. The pack of banknotes was still in my left pocket. After a couple of hours they let us go. As we were tired and hungry, we went to grab some food in a place nearby. I sat in silence, sipping my tea and wondering about what to do with that money. The pineapple girl was staring at me as if she tried to undertsand what I was thinking about. "What shall we do with the money?" I asked her. That very moment, by the corner of my eye, I saw two policemen moving towards us..." (Davide S.)
